Week 3 : Clicker

In the same lesson after learning how to use PowerPoint we also used a different multimedia resource called Clicker. Similarly to PowerPoint you can create presentations using Clicker. However, it is an interactive resource that can be used in many other ways. For example, it is a really good resource to use to create online storybooks.

The video above is a  brief introduction to Clicker and highlights the uses and benefits of using this particular resource.

In class I created an "all about me" book. This can easily be a task you also get the children in your class to do here was an example:

This will be useful for the children as they can use a variety of different words and images to describe themselves. As you can see Clicker also provides suggestions of alternative words that could be used. This could extremely benefit the children as it provides them with an opportunity to widen their vocabulary.

 

Week 3: Multimedia in the classroom 2 - PowerPoint and Clicker

This post will explore the use of multimedia in a classroom but with the use of PowerPoint and Clicker. These two can both be used in the classroom however they both have different strengths and uses.

This week in our ICT session, we learnt the basic facilities of PowerPoint and how use PowerPoint to its full potential. We were then given the opportunity to explore and experiment some of these PowerPoint tools. 

I created a PowerPoint about me. Within the PowerPoint I used animation, sound effects and action buttons to give an extra dimension to my PowerPoint. This was to make the PowerPoint more interactive.

The PowerPoint I created which is above shows hows you will have to interactive with the slides by clicked the circles to reveal the answers to the questions.
