- Number one shows that it is other people on the internet that are not trustworthy and that children should be aware of this and the same way they wouldn't talk to strangers in person they shouldn't do this online either.
- Number two also highlights that you should treat people the same whether they are online or in person.
- Number three shows that when something goes on the internet it is no longer personal as the internet is a public place so your personal information should be kept to yourself.
- Finally, number four shows that if there is ever anything that you are not sure about you should tell someone just like you would do at school. All of these top tips enable children to keep safe on he internet and also makes them aware of what they should avoid.
E Safety doesn't only effect Internet technologies but also effects other electronic communications. Such as: mobile phones, games consoles and wireless technology.
It highlights the importance to educate
children and in particular young people about the benefits, risks and responsibilities
of using information technology.
